All theory sessions are delivered through our CASAK e-Learning platform and Microsoft Teams, allowing learners to study flexibly from anywhere.

🏥 Practical Attachment

After completing online modules, learners will attend supervised practical sessions in approved elder-care facilities. These sessions help translate theory into real-world caregiving practice.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Who can register for the Geriatric Care course?

The course is open to religious sisters, caregivers, volunteers, and healthcare workers who wish to improve their knowledge and skills in caring for the elderly.

How do I create an account on the CASAK E-Learning platform?

To register, first fill out the CASAK E-Learning Registration Form. After submitting the form and paying the registration fee, the CASAK E-Learning administrator will create your Moodle account and enroll you in the Geriatric Care course. Once enrolled, you can log in to the platform. From there, you’ll be able to access course notes, assignments, and exams at your own pace.

How much does the course cost?

The course fee is Ksh 44,000 (inclusive of clinical experience and graduation costs). There is also a one-time registration fee of Ksh 2,000. This fee is subject to change. Note: Partial sponsorship is available for Catholic Sisters upon request.

How long does the course take to complete?

The course is self-paced, allowing learners to study according to their own schedules. On average, most participants complete it within four to six weeks, depending on their availability.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the course?

Yes. Upon successful completion of all modules and assessments, you will receive a Certificate issued by CASAK in partnership with Chemichemi ya Uzima College.

Can I access the course on my phone?

Yes. The CASAK E-Learning platform is mobile-friendly, so you can study using your smartphone, tablet, or computer as long as you have an internet connection. However, using a computer or laptop is highly recommended for the best learning experience, especially when accessing documents, videos, or submitting assignments.
