Convening photoCASAK Represented at the Catholic Sisters Journeying Together in Solidarity and Hope Convening

Care for Aging Sisters Association Kenya (CASAK) was honored to participate in the Catholic Sisters Journeying Together in Solidarity and Hope Convening, held in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, 10th-13th June 2026. The global gathering, organized by the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation’s Catholic Sisters Initiative, brought together more than 130 Catholic sisters and partners from around the world to strengthen collaboration, share experiences, and explore innovative approaches to advancing the mission of women religious.

The convening provided a unique platform for dialogue, learning, and networking, enabling participants to reflect on the evolving needs of religious communities while fostering partnerships that promote sustainable and impactful ministries.

CASAK’s participation highlighted its ongoing commitment to improving the quality of life of aging and infirm sisters through compassionate, coordinated, and sustainable systems of care. The association also shared its experiences in strengthening geriatric care, caregiver capacity, healthy aging, and collaborative approaches that respond to the changing demographic realities within religious congregations.

The gathering reaffirmed the importance of solidarity, shared leadership, and collective action in addressing the opportunities and challenges facing Catholic sisters worldwide. CASAK returns inspired by the rich exchange of ideas and strengthened partnerships that will continue to advance its mission of ensuring that every aging sister is cared for with dignity, respect, and compassion.
